Public Holidays in Cyprus

Below are the recognized Cypriot public holidays for 2006. Some, such as Boxing Day are the same as the UK, but other Greek Orthodox holidays including Easter are different. Please be aware that some smaller organisations, which are controlled by people from other religions, may close on additional dates to observe their religious holidays - as well as the official Greek Orthodox holidays. If you are travelling to Cyprus on business or to project manage property, its best to check before you travel - or you may find you have a very short working week!

Please note also that many businesses close for the whole or a large part of August. This does not usually include shops and offices.
